The next decade will be crucial to stopping irreversible climate change, and we as open source developers could do a lot to help. In this session, let's take a look at the fundamental reasons why climate change is happening, why open source could play a decisive role in solving it, and how blockchain could be the building blocks of an open source climate solution. We'll explore the current climate landscape from both a social and a business perspective and look at open source software being developed at the Linux Foundation's blockchain project, Hyperledger, for addressing it. Finally we'll discuss how open source developers could play a key role in solving one of the biggest problems in the world today.
