Hyperledger Global Forum 2021

Participants will learn how to get up and running from scratch as a Cactus contributor with the ability to make changes to the code by adding new features or fixing existing bugs. One of the Cactus maintainers, Peter Somogyvari will be on hand during the entire session for anyone to ask specific questions about the setup process. We'll start by Peter presenting the initial setup needed to get Cactus up and running on a Debian based machine and then carry on as an interactive workshop where participants are can follow along and grab the attention of the host if they encounter any issues. Prerequisites: - Computer with root access 8 GB RAM minimum, 16 GB preferred - Debian-based OS or Windows Subsystem Linux 2 equivalent installation - Docker - OpenJDK 8 - NodeJS 12/14 - Visual Studio Code (Recommended for debugging)
