With global supply chains becoming increasingly complex and interdependent across industries, the COVID-19 pandemic has shown that most companies still struggle to understand supply chain processes as part of the entire industry value chain. Integrated supply chain ecosystems hence have a tremendous potential to create more transparent and resilient supply chain processes across a full network of value chain participants. However, industries still struggle with sharing data across multiple companies as a key driver of these ecosystems. Technology experts argue that blockchain and distributed ledger technologies (DLTs) could help to solve the data sharing problem. The presentation discusses various industry use cases and provides reasoning for integrated supply chain ecosystems as nurturing ground for multi-party business application development on Hyperledger.
