Dr. Muhammad Ali Khan
Building SaaS and SaaP solutions with AI, IoT, blockchain and tokenization focus. With a masters from the University of Cambridge and a PhD from Calgary, I have held executive and faculty positions across three continents. Currently, I am spearheading the development of robust tokenization protocols to monetize data, software and industry projects. I am an executive leader and computer scientist with more than a decade of experience of solving complex problems in industry and academia. Over the years, I have managed and consulted several teams on blockchain, machine learning and software application development projects. Moreover, I have over 30 research publications on graph algorithms, software engineering, data science and blockchain technology, including a book. Having been funded by Cambridge Trusts, Noon Foundation, National Science and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) Canada, Alberta Innovates, Vanier-Banting Secretariat, Killam Trusts and Regional Innovation Network of Southern Alberta and National Research Council (NRC) Canada on industry/research projects I possess a robust R&D portfolio.
I am passionate about building tech ecosystems, supporting women entrepreneurs and sustainability. I am an active strategic member of the Hyperledger Blockchain Media & Entertainment Group and develop Canadian technology standards at the CIO Strategy Council where I am establishing a technical committee on Digital Assets and NFTs. In 2019, I organized the BCHack Blockchain Hackathon and mentored a team of women from Alberta to third place finish in CryptoChicks International AI and Blockchain Hackathon. I have since developed and presented multiple emerging tech workshop series for entrepreneurs under the Western Economic Diversification (WED) Canada Women in STEM Program.
