My name is Nina Schmulius. I am a writer, lecturer and founder of 7479c. I started my research about electronic waste and its impact a year ago and I am now on my way to shape a business model involving distributed ledger technology to empower people to think about waste and start responsible consumerism. Therefor I work with scientists, engineers and IT-specialists - and I am joining the Oxford School of Climate Change, led by the Oxford Climate Society. The past decade I have spent working as a journalist in the field of IT, raw materials, and certification. I am teaching the art of storytelling to about 120 students per semester at the FHGR in Switzerland. I am committed to human rights, my exhibition about the dark side of gold mining in Ghana had a direct impact on ending the participation of German investment funds in the industry. My last speaking experience was at the Circular Society Forum 2021 in February this year.
